Moroso @ NYC X Design

In the month of May New York City will be hosting NYC X Design, a three week long quermesse of design events and exhibitions during which Moroso will be launching new collections.

For the first time Moroso partnered with three American designers Anne Timerman, David Weeks and Marc Thorpe, to create a series of indoor and outdoor collections that will be presented at the SoHo showroom.

David Week’s Amaca, is a new addition to the outdoor M’Afrique family of products manufactured in Dakar, Senegal using local materials alongside with Marc Thorpe’s Baobab collection of table and pouf inspired by the shape of the homonymic tree. Anne Timerman’s Hannah-Kit table and pouf are inspired by a two dimensional folding process that is reinterpreted into a single sheet of metal for the table base and fabric for the pouf.

Moroso will also exhibit alongside US partner Golran at Wanted Design, Golran will launch a collection designed by Piero Lissoni, Hunua. that combines the art of Nepalese handcraft and rug making with the most sophisticated of tailor-made sartorial details. Together with Hunua, Golran presents a new floral version of the lenticular collection Lake by the duo Raw Edges.
