Moroso with Green light at Artissima 2018
Moroso confirms that also for 2018 it will also be collaborating with Artissima, one of the most important contemporary art fairs in Italy, now in its 25th edition.
During this year’s fair – which will be held from 2 to 4 November at the Lingotto in Turin – Moroso will be furnishing its Book Shop and Book Corner areas with Green light products by the Danish-Icelandic artist, Olafur Eliasson.
The Green light collection, which comprises tables and a shelving system, was initially produced as a prototype specifically for the Green light project by the artist Olafur Eliasson, and was presented at the 2017 Venice Biennale.
Moroso went on to develop these products, which were manufactured industrially and presented at the 2018 Milan Furniture Fair, and included them in the company catalogue.
The collaboration that led to the Green light collection being created was part of a series of projects for which Moroso was closely involved with the art world. As a result of this proximity, it was natural for the brand to display pieces designed by Olafur at Artissima 2018, to complete the circle as it were.
The Company’s passion for art is never an end in itself but contaminates the world of design in a very fluid way. Indeed, over the years the Company has been involved in various exhibitions at a number of major art fairs, such as Miart, Artissima, Art Basel in Miami, and high-profile museums, such as MoMa or the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The connection with art has also led Moroso to partner with world famous artists, such as Olafur Eliasson or Marina Abramovic.
