Moroso and “I tre corpi del colore: ispirazioni e visioni”
Moroso has just completed a series of meetings dedicated to architects and designers in its Milanese showroom entitled “I tre corpi del colore: ispirazioni e visioni” (The three bodies of colour: inspiration and vision), which seeks to encourage reflection and suggest new ways of using colour as a creative tool, curated by the architect Roberta Dall’Ara.
The speakers at the first meeting held on 20th September under the title “Colour in the neurosciences”, were Colour & Perception designer Aldo Bottoli and Sarah Robinson, who lectures on the NAADmaster course at the IUAV in Venice.
The talks introduced the theoretical dimension of perceptive and phenomenological research studied in depth in the neurosciences.
At the second meeting, held on 25th October, the speakers Giancarlo Tintori, author of the book “CMYK” and architect specialised in retail design, and Lifestyle & Colour Coach Silvia Criscione guided the meeting entitled “The emotion of colour in space through time”. Colour becomes a tool and at the same time a solution by introducing a new “point of balance” between what the mind suggests and what the senses perceive.
Lastly, the speakers at the third and final meeting on 22nd November, entitled “Inspiration for architecture from the natural world”, were Pier Paolo Ruttico, an engineer with a PhD from the Politecnico in Milan, and Computational Designer, Stefano Arrighi. They gave an account of research carried out into the inspiration that architecture draws from the animal world, describing similarities and comparisons as well as emulation and imitation of natural shapes, in which man’s intervention finds itself in an on-going dialogue with the material dimension.
The Moroso showroom formed the backdrop for the three stages of an imagined journey, a point of contact with the speculative, emotional and material dimensions chosen as the form of approach to the three fields of research into the use of colour.
