Cantina Antinori
Moroso in association with Archea Associati is behind the interiors of Cantina Antinori, a stunning project which has already caused quite a stir. The winery building, designed by Marco Casamonti of Archea Associati, has recently opened its doors and is already attracting visits from architect professionals and fans alike. The Tuscan architect chose, together with Moroso’s creative team, the interior furnishings to create completely diverse spaces pervaded by a truly unique atmosphere. The Moroso collections used include the Bohemian armchair, with an original reworking of classic button tufting by Patricia Urquiola; Stears, an incredibly versatile seat whose green hues fits perfectly with the harmonious, voluminous spaces. There is also Ron Arad’s Misfits, a playful modular seating system which manages to be both sculptural and extremely comfy, and Toshiyuki Kita’s Saruyama Island, a rather poetic sofa with its fluid geomorphic shapes and YY-Chair designed by For Use is perfectly at home in the spaces.
The choice of plastic seating is also noteworthy: featuring Moon by Tokujin Yoshioka the chair inspired by lunar shape and shade and, of course, Ross Lovegrove’s Supernatural whose organic sinuosity is reminiscent of the shapes and colours of the Tuscan hills which surround Cantina Antinori and into which it nestles.
