Brook Ottoman
Moroso continues its partnership with two big names in Japanese design. To mark the opening of the new showroom of fashion guru Issey Miyake, held on Saturday 11 October in London, the brand has produced a series of ottomans created by the artist and designer Tokujin Yoshioka. The product, designed specifically for this space, will in future enter production and be included in the Moroso catalogue.
The name Brook is a homage to 10 Brook Street, London W1, the address of the new Issey Miyake flagship store, located between Bond Street and Hanover Square in the centre of Mayfair, while the shape, in the words of Tokujin Yoshioka himself:
“features the complex composition of facets that makes the form like a twist structure as if been sculpted.”
The partnership with Tokujin Yoshioka also continues. It began in 2007 with Panna chair, presented the same year at the Salone del Mobile design week, as part of a remarkable display created by Tokujin himself for Moroso’s Milan showroom.
